About Me

Hello! Thank you for your interest in learning more about me. I am lucky to have been born and raised right here in Fort Collins (attending Laurel, Lesher, and Fort Collins High School). I am one of six sisters who grew up near the Poudre River and exploring the City's natural areas, in fact I used to live in a home that is now one of the City's Natural Areas buildings!

My interest in the natural environment led me to a bachelors in Natural Resources from Colorado State University. After working for the FC Bikes (now FC Moves) I became interested in community health and later received a Master's in Public Health from Portland State University.

I love the people who make up Fort Collins, and the diverse and unique neighborhoods, parks, trails, businesses, and natural areas and feel a sense of pride representing them at City Hall.

In my free time I enjoy trail running, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

What have I been working on these past 6 years?

My Work Outside of Council

IMG_8566.HEIC

I have a history in non-profit and government work supporting working families and our vulnerable community members. My work experience led me to running for City Council in 2019. Working hand in hand with community members who were struggling to have a high quality of life in Fort Collins encouraged me to take a bigger role in supporting my fellow community members.

I currently work for the Department of Local Affairs where I oversee a grant program and work with local governments across the state to support affordable housing and adoption of policies, practices, and programs to support locating housing near jobs, transit, and everyday services.

Previously I worked for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment overseeing a $22 million dollar grant program that worked to identify and support community based organization access opportunities, funding, and resources to promote health equity across the state. I also worked for the The Family Center/La Familia where I helped create and launch a program focused on the preservation and protection of mobile home parks through civic engagement and advocacy.

I  am not afraid to address big, complex issues and bring skills in listening to community needs,  bringing together networks to advance community vision, and continually learning to make better decisions. I am proud of the background I bring to City Council and believe that we need to keep working to support and fight for a high quality of life for all residents. If you would like to support my campaign, please consider donating. Thanks for your support.
